Frequently Asked Questions

Is The Freedom Table a weight loss program?

Not in the traditional sense.

The Freedom Table is a faith-integrated support and accountability group focused on sustainable wellness, mindset, healthy habits, and personal growth. While many participants may experience weight loss as a result of healthier choices and greater consistency, our primary focus is freedom from shame, all-or-nothing thinking, and the patterns that often keep us stuck.

We believe lasting change starts from the inside out.

What if I fall off track during the 10 weeks?

Life happens, and no one is expected to be perfect.

At The Freedom Table, we're learning to move beyond all-or-nothing thinking. A difficult day, meal, or week does not mean you've failed.

If you struggle, you're still welcome. If you miss a goal, you're still welcome. If you need to begin again, you're still welcome.

Our focus is not perfection—it's faithfulness, consistency, and taking the next step forward with grace.

There will always be a seat for you at The Freedom Table.

Do I need to be Christian to participate?

No.

While The Freedom Table is rooted in biblical principles and includes prayer, Scripture, and faith-based discussion, women from all backgrounds are welcome.

You do not need to have a certain level of faith or biblical knowledge to participate. You are welcome exactly as you are..

Is this therapy or counseling?

No.

The Freedom Table is a peer support and accountability group. It is not therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or crisis care.

While meaningful conversations and personal growth often occur within the group, participants seeking treatment for mental health concerns, eating disorders, or other clinical needs should seek support from qualified professionals.

Is this only for women who want to lose weight?

Not necessarily.

Many women join because they want to improve their health, develop healthier habits, strengthen their relationship with food, or find support and accountability in a faith-centered environment.

The Freedom Table is for women seeking growth, wellness, and freedom—not just a number on the scale.

What if I've tried and failed before?

Then you're in good company.

Many women who join The Freedom Table have spent years starting over, trying different approaches, and feeling discouraged by the results.

This community was created specifically for women who are tired of carrying that burden alone.

You do not need to arrive with confidence, motivation, or a perfect plan.

You simply need a willingness to take the next step.

What happens after the 10 weeks are over?

The end of the 10-week cohort isn't the end of the journey—it's the beginning of putting what you've learned into practice long-term.

During our final session, we'll reflect on growth, celebrate victories, and create a plan for moving forward. Participants will be encouraged to continue applying the habits, mindset shifts, and faith-based principles they've developed throughout the program.

Future opportunities may include additional cohorts, advanced groups, ongoing accountability communities, special studies, or seasonal gatherings.

Many women find that one of the greatest gifts of The Freedom Table is the relationships they build along the way. Our hope is that participants leave not only with practical tools, but with encouragement, connection, and confidence to continue their journey well beyond the 10 weeks.

Because lasting change isn't built in a single season—it's built one faithful step at a time.

What if I miss a meeting?

Life happens.

While we encourage participants to attend all sessions whenever possible, we understand that occasional conflicts arise. Consistent participation helps build trust, accountability, and community, but missing a meeting does not mean you've failed or fallen behind.

How large are the groups?

Groups are intentionally kept small (8-10 women) to encourage meaningful discussion, connection, and accountability.

Our goal is for every participant to feel seen, heard, and supported throughout the journey.

What if I'm struggling right now?

You don't need to "get it together" before joining.

You don't need to lose weight before you're worthy of support.

You don't need to have all the answers.

The Freedom Table exists because none of us were meant to walk this journey alone.

Come as you are.

There's a seat for you at the table.

Is this an online group? Why?

Yes.

The Freedom Table meets online so that women can participate regardless of where they live. One of my goals is to make this community accessible to as many women as possible, without the limitations of geography, travel time, childcare, or busy schedules.

Meeting online allows women from different towns, states, and backgrounds to gather around the same table, share their experiences, and encourage one another in a meaningful way.

For many of us, life is already full. By meeting virtually, participants can join from the comfort of their own homes, making it easier to prioritize their wellness journey without adding another commute to their week.

While we may not be sitting around the same physical table, the heart of The Freedom Table remains the same: creating a safe, welcoming space where women can be honest, supported, and reminded that they don't have to walk this journey alone.

No matter where you're joining from, there's a seat for you at the table.

Will I be required to share personal information?

No.

Participation is encouraged, but everyone is free to share at a level that feels comfortable.

Some women feel ready to open up immediately. Others prefer to listen and build trust first. Both are perfectly acceptable.

What can I expect during a typical meeting?

Each session includes:

• Opening prayer and encouragement
• Weekly check-ins
• Discussion around the week's topic
• Scripture and faith-based reflection
• Practical habit-building strategies
• Weekly accountability goals
• Closing prayer and support

Meetings are designed to be welcoming, encouraging, and free from judgment..

Why is there a participation fee?

The Freedom Table requires time, preparation, planning, materials, and facilitation to create a meaningful experience for participants.

The participation fee helps cover the costs associated with running the group, including curriculum development, meeting facilitation, resources, and ongoing support throughout the 10-week journey.

The fee also serves as a commitment to yourself and the process. When we invest in something, we're often more likely to prioritize it and stay engaged, even when motivation fluctuates.

Our goal is never to create a barrier to participation, but to provide a valuable, supportive experience that encourages lasting growth and transformation.
